Profile Overview:
Android Developer at TravClan is a key role which ensures delivering the best experience to our customers. The Android app is one of our oldest product offerings and has existed for more than 5 years. Our partners can do Flight bookings, Wallet, Hotel bookings, Holiday Booking, Visa, SaaS Website Builder, Marketing Material Builder, News. The Android app is rated 4.5+ on Google Play and is used by thousands of Travel Entrepreneurs in India and accounts for millions of rupees in GMV daily. We engineer the app using custom frameworks, widgets and MVVM to build our android app and want people who love to do this same every sprint to join us. This role will also give you a lot of exposure to Travel Tech, Marketing Tech for Android and you will get to work very closely with our Product team.

What we are looking for:
Must have technical skills -
- Strong and demonstrable knowledge of android java, Kotlin
- Common design patterns - MVC, MVVM, MVP
- Very strong in data structures and algorithms
- Multi-threaded programming & familiarity with android jetpack
- Usage of frameworks -> volley/retrofit, picasso/glide, databinding
- Usage of android support libraries, firebase, any push notification frameworks
- Java design patterns - factory, observer, singleton, adapter & builder pattern
- Android Concepts - Themes, Navigation Drawer, TabLayouts etc
Check if you fit in the role-
You Must-
- Be proficient in Java and Kotlin
- Have atleast 6 Months of experience in Android Studio
- Understand common design patterns like MVC, MVVM, and MVP
- Excel in data structures and algorithms

- Understand RESTful APIs and integrate them into Android applications.

This role is not ideal for someone who is-
- Has not worked on 2-3 android applications
- Lacks basic proficiency in Android development using Java and Kotlin
- Has not created any android project from scratch
- Not comfortable with long working hours i.e. 10-12 hours daily
- Not comfortable working 5 days a week from office in Delhi
The Recruitment Process:
1. Aptitude Test: Every shortlisted candidate initially needs to appear for a one-hour aptitude test. The aptitude test consists of some basic math aptitude problems, descriptive questions, and some technical questions.
2. Personal Interviews: 2-3 in person/virtual interviews. Detailed discussions about the job profile, company, candidature & tech skills are discussed in these rounds.
3. Extending an offer: On successfully clearing the interview rounds, the job offer is extended to the candidate. This includes financial benefits, ESOPs and many other benefits.

Important Points:
- Office Location- Connaught Place, Delhi
- Timings - 9:30 till work gets over. You are considering joining a startup. Buidling anything of value takes time. The majority of our exits happen within the first 2 months of people joining because new joiners are not able to adjust to the high pace environment. You can expect 10-12 hours of work in a day!
