Profile Overview:

Responsible for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) as well as the security posture of our cloud infrastructure, this role requires extensive knowledge of automation, infrastructure, and security tools such as Terraform, Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Prometheus/Grafana, and IAM/secrets management platforms. The DevOps Engineer is tasked with addressing the organization's toughest technical and security challenges and driving technical excellence at all levels. Collaborating with senior management, the DevOps Engineer supports the execution of the organization's vision while ensuring smooth, secure operations for applications.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of technology at both the server and development levels, proactively identify and fill operational and security gaps, and prevent application emergencies and security incidents before they occur.

Key Responsibilities:

DevOps / Infrastructure

Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Own CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar) to enable fast, safe, and repeatable deployments.
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/self-managed).
Set up and maintain observability: logging, monitoring, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, New Relic, or similar).
Drive cost optimization, capacity planning, and infrastructure scaling initiatives.
Own incident response for infrastructure/production issues, participate in on-call rotations, conduct RCAs and blameless postmortems.
Automate repetitive operational tasks to reduce manual toil.

SecOps / Security

Own the security posture of cloud infrastructure, including IAM policies, network security, VPC/firewall configurations, and secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, etc.).
Implement and monitor security controls across CI/CD (SAST/DAST, dependency & container vulnerability scanning).
Set up and manage SIEM/logging for security monitoring, threat detection, and alerting.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration test coordination, and remediation tracking.
Define and enforce security best practices: least-privilege access, encryption at rest/in transit, key rotation policies.
Drive compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR as applicable) and support audits.
Build and maintain security runbooks, playbooks, and internal documentation.
Respond to security incidents, including triage, containment, root cause analysis, and post-incident hardening.

What we are looking for:

Must have technical skills -

Proficiency in cloud services (AWS or Google Cloud Platform) and containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
Hands-on experience with:
- Linux OS
- Scripting (Shell/Bash/Python)
- Database management (MySQL, MongoDB).
Expertise with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Chef/Puppet/Ansible, Maven/Nexus, EKS, GKE) and configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.
Deploy and maintain infrastructure using Redis, Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ for scalable and high-performance applications.
Working understanding of core security concepts: IAM, network segmentation, encryption, vulnerability management, and threat modeling.
Experience with monitoring/observability and log management tools.

You Must-

Have 2-5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Security Operations (or a combined role).
Be experienced with building, deploying, and operating tech infrastructure and applications.
Be skilled in making software updates and fixing issues in deployments.
Have strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure acceptable).
Have solid experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Have strong incident management and on-call experience.

You Can-

Collaborate with different teams to improve and streamline DevOps and security processes.
Bring strong troubleshooting skills for infrastructure, deployment, and security issues.
Coordinate vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, and track remediation.
Bring familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS) as a strong plus.
Bring prior experience in a fintech, travel-tech, or high-transaction-volume product company as a plus.
Communicate excellently and work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership.

The Recruitment Process:

1. Aptitude Test: The first step of the recruitment process is a 30-minute basic aptitude test.

2. Technical Assessment Task: This one-hour role specific assessment will be an evaluation of the ‘must have technical skills’ mentioned above.

3. Personal Interviews: 2-3 video interviews. Detailed discussions about the job profile, company & candidature are discussed in these rounds.
