We enable travel agents to conveniently book flights, hotels, and holiday packages while also providing comprehensive end-to-end on-ground travel services. We currently process over INR 1000+ crore GMV (sales) and are growing rapidly.


Our strong business model and focus on delivering excellent customer experience has facilitated our sustainable growth funded by internal cashflows. To fuel innovation and growth, we have raised USD 5.5mn+ funds from marquee global investors!

 

Profile Overview:

Business Development Associate at TravClan is a key role that focuses on growing the volume of business done by agents. You will be resolving agents' grievances related to payments, and services & work on retaining every agent with a wonderful experience.


Growth Prospects:    

  • Annual CTC - ₹ 5.4 to 7.5  LPA 

  • ESOPs + promotions + aggressive growth prospects (read further) !

  • Fast Appraisal -  Despite COVID, we had appraisals in 6 months in Jan & July 2020

  • Aggressive Hikes - In May'21 & Jan'22, Average Hike was 35% & 30% respectively.

What we are looking for: 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The sole point of contact in building and managing a highly engaged community of business entrepreneurs/ agents.


  • Educating members about TravClan and managing 100-200 business accounts.


  • Identify opportunities to increase bookings and grow the business volume of agents through TravClan.


  • Work with agents to understand their requirements and support them in expanding their travel offerings.


  • Working in close interface with the finance, product, and marketing team to build better processes, products, and reach, respectively.


  • Ensure strong retention of agents while continuously growing their business volume through TravClan.


  • Ensuring customer delight while managing Agent's grievances related to payments, services, products etc.


  • Effectively managing feedback and escalations from customers and vendors.


  • Hosting country-wide offline and online events & meet-ups of members from time to time.

This role is not ideal for someone who is-

  • Not comfortable working with targets and tight timelines


  • Not disciplined with structured work routines


  • Not confident in handling customer queries or escalations


  • Not comfortable working 10–12 hours a day in a high-performance environment


  • Not comfortable with a 6-day work week (including Saturdays)




The Recruitment Process:

1. Aptitude Test: The first step of the recruitment process is a basic 50-minute aptitude test.
2. Group Discussion: If you clear the Aptitude Test, the second step of the recruitment process would be a 20-30-minute group discussion round.
3. Personal Interviews: 2-3 video interviews. Detailed discussions about the job profile, company & candidature are discussed in these rounds.
 4. Extending an offer: On successfully clearing the interview rounds, the job offer is extended to the candidate. This includes financial benefits and many other benefits. 


Important Points:

  • Office Location- Connaught Place, Delhi

  • Work Timings - 9:30 till work gets over. You are considering joining a startup. Building anything of value takes time. The majority of our exits happen within the first 2 months of people joining because new joiners are not able to adjust to the high pace environment. You can expect 10-12 hours of work in a day!
